Ansmann/Team C/Absima

Madrat/Jekyl/TRO2V2

What's actually the difference between these three cars?

They all seem to be the same car(2WD rear motor).

SIL has just bought a second hand TRO2V2 to play with and want's a
manual for it.

Cheers

Manuals

Have a look on this site under any of the brands/models and you should find a manual

Simple answer is they are all the same car, the difference is the name on the box.

Outside of China, Team C was originally just an OEM factory, making cars for other manufacturers. They made the cars and left the design, distribution and retail sales to whoever bought the cars. Ansmann used to have an R/C division, so they bought Team Cs own cars, put their name on the box and Ansmann distributed the cars throughout Europe. TQ Racing sold the cars in the US under the TQ brand as well.
Ansmann decided to stop selling R/C cars, and Team C started selling through normal distribution channels at first so the name became known over here. The Madrat became the Jekyll. Later the Jekyll was replaced by the TR02V2, the only difference is the TR02v2 has a slightly longer chassis.

When it shut down, Ansmanns R/C division staff left and set up Absima who took over distribution throughout Europe. The manual can be found on their website

Lots of spares are not kept in stock in UK shops, but if you order shadow stock parts they are usually sent direct from Absima themselves.

Does Absima still distribute Team C? After all they distribute HB these days, doesn't that conflict each other?

Thanks for that gents, pretty much what I thought.
I've aimed him at those links so he's bagged a manual.
He asked me if it was a decent buy,I said yes because spares are easy to get and plentiful on th'internet.

I'll strip it down with him and check the diff.,slipper and all the bearings.

There are 2 versions of front and rear wishbones - standard and higher carbon. I found the standard quite easy to break, but the high carbon were ok. Also plenty of alloy parts in grey (team c) or green (Ansmann)

Also most of Absimas own brand cars are rebadged HSP models as well.

They don't stock the cars any more, but they still stock Team C spares and offer support.
