tyres and inserts T6.1 on astro
 

just looking for advice and any info on tyres for wet n dry racing

thinking simply yellows and silvers, minispikes and staggers, soft inserts in silvers, and possibly the JC ones in the yellows

I will only be running on 100% astro tracks

In the wet green BB minispikes, yellow or green cut staggers up front.

In the dry, same fronts, probably Cactus blues on the back.

That is great for 2wd and 4wd 1/10 but this is for a T6.1. I remember that Losi red studs are very good in the wet on the front and rear. If you can get any truck tyre in silver that should be good on wet astro. It is just a shame that Ballistic Buggy do not make a truck tyre as that would be great to have BB Green on the rear :)

Dry astro. Yellow minispike rear with jc concept ribbed inserts.

And pink swaggers front with the supplied inserts..
Wow. Was as fast as 2wd buggies.

Yellow mini spikes don't last long enough on the truck. Proline prisms are a far better choice for dry astro.

Cheers, yup I found that out at last meeting, I reckon the rears have done 3 full runs and they ready for acetone bucket

as a quick experiment, wet astro, mix of greasy bits and proper puddles

it was brilliant LOL

my first race meeting with a truck, and was quicker than most the 2wd buggies

I will get some of them prisms, thanks for info, oople round at mendip would eat 3 pairs yellow spikes I estimate, so anything that lasts longer is great
