New to XB4...front wheels?

Hi all

Just bought a 17 spec XB4...which front wheels fit? I've seen chat about X-ray fronts being a little soft?

My main concern is track width...we run on EOS carpet, so keen to try a few pro set ups.

If they're on the handout Schumacher tyre are they on the pre-glued rims? Track width the same of are they adjusting with hexes?

And regarding rear wheels, I currently run a B6 in 2WD, but ideally would like to be able to run same rears on both cars for obvious reasons. Got loads of AE/JC rims, which hex to match XB4 width?

You can see how I'm confused...!

I've always ran Xray wheels with no problems, if you cut them down for narrow fronts they can be a bit soft but again I've never had a issue.
As for rears I'm not sure, maybe ask on the facebook group as it has better responses than on here.

Front the Schuey 4wd wheels have pretty much the same offset as the Xray ones, but a shallower hex, that plus the fact that the xray hexes are chamfered makes them easier to strip. With aftermarket hexes that can be eliminated. Xray rims are softer, but work fine even cut, there is ways to make them stiffer should you want, but depending on what reare tyres you use full width front tyres tend to be faster on the XB4.
Rear Xray wheels have more offset than schuey/ae wheels, so to keep the the same tack width you need wider hexes. Need to add 1.5 per side.

Thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated : )

Re. 'Slots' on hexes, is there a reference for this? As in which is which?

What size hexes come as standard with the XB4 17?

I looked at a couple of set up sheets for EOS...is the hex width marked anywhere? I couldn't see it but was maybe looking too hard!

And does anyone know of a wheel offset chart? I'd like to check Yokomo fronts against XB4, unless someone already knows?
