RD alloy diff cases B64

I’ve just decided to change my diff cases to revolution designs alloy ones.
They come with there own gear bars, but I can’t seem to get them to fit the bars seem a tad bit long....has anyone else had this issue?

After reading this I thought I’d open the one I’ve just bought and again the bars are too long . Only way I can see to rectify it is too grind a tiny bit of of the bars ?

Cheers for the reply

I’ve took the dremal to mine, it’s not much to be removed but still 20£ a pop I’d expect them to be on point.. Much better than the plastic ones, I hopefully won’t strip the threads in them like I’ve done loads with the plastic diff cases

Another thing I thought of was the kit bars ? Would they not have fitted ? I know what you mean with the kit plastic threads stripping , they’re not great are they that’s one of the reasons I’ve bought one . It’s got nothing to do with being a bling whore I assure you :D:D

Lol no bling whores here

No the kit ones don’t fit just need rounding with the dremal .
I’ve not seen any spare bars from RD yet either
Got both diffs in now they look the part and can only do a better job..expensive but for me and my gorilla wrenching I’ll save some money lol

Well seems no as you’ve done yours and it wasn’t too much of a drama I’ll do mine tomorrow . You’d of thought rd would have checked they fitted though lol

Yeah me too for the price especially
It’s took me weeks to justify getting them
It’s also not the first time I’ve had stuff off them that’s doesn’t fit perfectly

Looks well bud I’m going to order the center diff case...now although I mostly use the slipper

Roscopeco 11-02-2018 12:31 PM

Ive only run the centre gear diff , not tried the slipper yet but I do have one . The b64d is the first 4wdcar I’ve raced so I’m still trying new things to see what I like .

Outdoors I love it , Astro and grass both great but where I race week in week out at yorcc I’ve struggled with it . Only recently started to enjoy it but not sure it’s quite right for me yet , I think I’ll try the slipper next week . Is it noticeably different to the gear diff ?
