Hi Chris in reply to your question sorry we do not open for practice on any night and the is no acess to the track. Sunday 10am untill finish is the only time cheers Paul

That's a shame on the mid-week practice. I'm coming down to work in Newcastle soon, but will still be doing a weekly commute till my wife joins me and we relocate. So anything Mon-Thu would be good.

If it's just people's time to commit to running a practice meeting, I've got a fair bit of experience - 30 years on and off running several clubs up here, as well as restarting our Regional/National series (Scotland). So I could do it.

Just a thought, and happy to help, as it helps me too.

Failing that, any other offroad meetings Mon-Thu in the area?

Sundays at dynamics

Emily and I attended on Sunday, not many there but we had a good morning and afternoons racing. The track hasn't changed much. It needs people to attend and generate funds so it can be improved. Come on people attend on Sundays when the weather is reasonable. I dare say that Paul might consider midweek if he can get numbers there. If no one turns up it wasting his tim and money.

Surely if it was opened up midweek then people would turn up?

The fact that there's 2 clubs in the North East and they both run on the same day is a bit daft really. If Dynamix was opened up midweek In The spring/summer months I'm pretty sure that they would get more drivers turn up to race.
We should really be helping eachother out, it's not like the old days when there were 80-90 people racing every Sunday @ Belmont!!
More people racing at Dynamix then more money to improve things!!

Allan1875 07-05-2014 10:57 AM

I am going to travel down some weekends from Edinburgh to race and predominantly to do some astro testing.

I will drag my Dad down with his 4WD, look forward to meeting everyone.

If i remember correctly last year quite a few people were asking for racing mid-week
so dynamix opened up mid-week and nobody turned up so they stopped doing it

chris68nufc 07-05-2014 03:24 PM

Are you saying that they won't open up midweek even if there was a demand for it to be open?

AfroP 07-05-2014 03:53 PM

nowt to do with me

just saying that I know last year there was a demand, they tried it and it quickly died off due to lack of interest so i'd imagine there is a reluctance to do so again .
but you'd need to wait for an official word from a club official

chris68nufc 07-05-2014 04:14 PM

We will have to wait for something official then, surely some more cash in the coffers is a good thing!!!
What improvements have been made since the last regional if any?

K-Brewer 07-05-2014 04:30 PM

As AfroP says, we tried it midweek twice before on different days because people asked for it but hardly anyone showed up an as paul was having to arrange to finish work early to accomodate enough time for people to get a decent nights racing in. After all the effort that was put in last time i think we would need to see a big amount of people wanting this for it to even be thought about at the moment

chris68nufc 07-05-2014 04:44 PM

What's the chances of getting a few people that can access the track rather than just leave it up to Paul?
It works well at RHR.
Might be worth a poll??
