fergal tower?

Spoolio 04-12-2008 05:38 PM

Would that be a Fergal Shark(y) tower? :D

Body Paint 04-12-2008 09:21 PM

"Fergal" is the name of the car that I won the National series with last year. Atomic Carbon made a front tower based on the one off front tower that was fitted to "Fergal"

Spoolio ;)

Too much I bet, that kick up on the front is just crying out 'break me' ...... personally, unless anyone can run it and prove that it's a lot quicker than the standard car then I think it will be a pile of cack ..... the standard car is quite flexible and gives me just the right amount of grip I want for my style of driving ........ if everyone starts winning with it then i'll take notice of course and try it on my second car and see what I think. I wouldn't spend my money just yet though, let everyone else test it first ;) ........ just my opinion of course :D

ottoswe 05-12-2008 05:52 AM

in sweden, 1199sek witch means about 120 euros :)

the chassie feels realy good, the kick up seems imposible to break, but the rear tranny case isn´t, "fluppen" the second carbon chassie driver broke his rear tranny case.

ottoswe 06-12-2008 02:24 PM

Darren Boyle 09-12-2008 04:27 PM

We now have them in stock - RRP is £79.99 our price is £69.95 :D

Body Paint 09-12-2008 04:39 PM

I ran mine on Sunday, love it!

You get a lot more feedback from the car, you can really feel the car working in the corner. The balance feels much more neutral than the stock chassis, which can feel a little to "pointy" at times and "loose" at others, this chassi feels much more controlled. Gets the thumbs up from me :)

Danosborne6661 09-12-2008 04:42 PM

Picis Craig!
Otherwise I got to wait till Friday to see it :(

GRIFF55 09-12-2008 05:26 PM

How are you holding the lipo tight craig? Is it a nice build?

Danosborne6661 09-12-2008 06:32 PM

Looking at this pici it looks like it comes with cheeky little lugs to stop it from sliding out sideways

http://www.lrp.cc/uploads/RTEmagicC_DSCN8686.jpg.jpg

Chris Doughty 09-12-2008 07:11 PM

that pic also has the yet-to-be-released LRP hard-cased LiPo in it too ;)

Body Paint 10-12-2008 03:07 PM

Trying to get pics off JT and ASH will get some up asap.

As Dan says there are some clever little plastic lugs which locate the Lipo perfectly. I have the receiver in front of the lipo to stop it sliding forward.

It builds very well. I have added some servo posts and have cut a little slot in the chassis plate for my kimbrough servo saver but if you use the stock servo saver or Xray one that wont be needed.

It also appears that you can use the "hold down strap" that fits the stock chassis to hold the servo in. I don't have a strap to check, but the holes in the carbon chassis appear to be in the same place.

Looks like this one (which doesn't appear to be hard cased)
