Body Paint 13-12-2007 08:59 PM

been testing the MRT ones Paul and I'm quite impressed so far.

GRIFF55 13-12-2007 09:07 PM

The mrt one's very nice, sooo small

jimmy 13-12-2007 09:17 PM

is the MRT one something you already need to have a PT in the first place for though? In other words, only good if you already have an AMB pt and want a second unit with the same number?

GRIFF55 13-12-2007 09:28 PM

Don't think so Jimmy, i used one of the Caldicot club ones and it could be programmed with various numbers. I think they can also be cloned to the same as your existing pt no.
Best to check with Mr Harris first mind!!

Can you answer wether they can be used without owning an AMB version craig? I like the look of them.. and the size.. also the price!

I still need to figure it out Jim / Paul

You can set it to have a number which ends in 1 to 0 but not really sure if it can be recognized as a handout as MRT seem to claim. Will do some more investigation and report back Saturday.

then he did not ring mbmodels in LEEDS as my post, cus if u search bally or pt's on here you will see they do sell them!!!

mark christopher 16-12-2007 10:17 AM

double post

bally 16-12-2007 11:55 AM

got loads of PT's in stock

the MRT transponders are clowns to an existing AMB PT

MRT also make transponders for the older style AMB 20 systems which you can program 1 - 20 instead of using the clubs handout transponders these will not work with AMB RC

They make a transponder with 10 or 20 pre programed numbers for the AMBrc system now also with an optio n of adding YOUR pt number to it at extra cost

Yes it works fine, the numbers that are programmed in are from amb transponders that mrt must have bought or from people trading them in.In a rare case of a transponder clash you just press a button to use the next amb number. These are also perfect if anyone has a broken amb unit as long as mrt can read the number from the transponder they will clone it for you.
But you dont need an amb transponder to buy the 10 or 20 number versions.

Is anybody aware if the MRT Power boosters work on the AMB PT or do they work on just the MRT PTs? I was at York outdoors last year and it kept missing laps. I was sick of it happening so i havent used it since. Getting a 'Booster' would give me the confidence to try it again.Any ideas?
