ooh daddy they sure got some lovely features in the RHR track:D No worries steve.. see ya in 2 weeks

GRIFF55 12-02-2012 08:43 PM

Is it the double at the end of the straight you are taking out?

axeman 12-02-2012 09:15 PM

yes mate going to put a small table top in similar to the one we just put in but with longer down ramp.

but we are open for suggestions. as the track is for the drivers and it's on the 1/10th section

Jamie.T 12-02-2012 09:38 PM

Good job guys, at this rate it'll be open next weekend. Lol

Is "the hill" being decommissioned also? Evening racing makes that section a right pain with low level sun.

axeman 12-02-2012 10:04 PM

soon as the 1/10 track is open matt is taking his JCB to hill to somthing new...

I have no idea what hes going todo but I'm sure the hill wont be going.

Talywain trade mark is the hill. But I'm sure it's going to be bigger and better!

GRIFF55 12-02-2012 10:27 PM

I would suggest just filling in what the double is in like now and make the down ramp have a lower angle by making it longer. Job done. Big jumps rule.

I was going to say the same.

Maybe a big roller instead of a table top? That way you can either make a corner flow nicely over it or jump off it to the back section for the animals.... I mean nitros lol

axeman 13-02-2012 08:19 PM

what if we moved the two together into a large roller.? what would you advise as a max height.

chris (reg) reardon 13-02-2012 08:39 PM

big jumps

how high is a piece of sting or long for that matter work that out and time's it by two :woot:

or u could go by the square root of somthing more than but not quite equel to half the size of the entire equation :bored:

hope that helps wee man:p

go big or go home thats me

I'm sure that's what we just said, but you can pretend it was your idea, I don't mind lol.

About the same height as it is now, maybe a tad longer.

GRIFF55 13-02-2012 09:41 PM

I found it easier to jump my electric into the corner more than the 8th!!!
What about turning that whole section into a step up jump onto a tabletop with a step off ( lip on the top) to jump into the double..... Have a look at some supercross tracks for inspiration. You guys can do it! Before settling on a jump profile and laying astro. Test it with a few cars/drivers in dirt. Then you'll get the feeling if it's right or not ;-)

chris (reg) reardon 13-02-2012 10:00 PM

been there done that

we tryed all that on the last big jumpes dident work.when tested they were great .gota race on the track to get the right speeds in the corners and on the face of the jumps so we will try try again but we could do with more help not this weekend but the weekend after if u fancy coming along i might even by every body a brekfast roll for input and help

GRIFF55 13-02-2012 11:19 PM
