Only seen one or two.. always looked crap! I'd settle to buy whatever your friends are running so at least you can have setup and parts support.

d216's are brilliant cars. our local shop got one in, guy got it and ran it, the following week another two shown up. That was about 2 months ago and out of the 20ish regular's i'm the only one who hasn't bought on.

Straight out of the box they have fantastic steering, a bit too much for high grip. Very softly sprung too so bare in mind if your running indoor carpet.

The only thing that i've seen fail on them is idler gears. An alloy one can be bought from Answer for around £11 so its no big deal. The wings are a bit crap too, very light lexan, get a PR or Jconcepts pack if you order a kit to save wasting time with the kit wing.

If you do get one, be liberal with your use of locktight too, there is a lot of metal to metal screws and they will back out if you don't use locktight, esp the caster adjustable front C hubs.

Its also worth noting that if you find one for sale for the reduced £155, don't hesitate, they are worth every penny. Answer rc who are the importers have ended the discount on them, so any store that sells out of the kits and has to re-order will be forced to sell them back at the original £280 RRP.
