Brace for "saddle-packed" chassis

I've been running a second hand X6² for a few weeks, I decided to saddle-pack the chassis - after having removed the necessary material, I became a little concerned about chassis strength.

So I made some 6mm aluminium chassis braces; The third screw in the middle of the brace can be added or left out so as to be able to tweak flex.

Hope you like it

Btw: the car handles like a dream on astro :)
However, all tips are welcome to get it to handle on dusty, hard-packed clay

Looks good! What problems are you having on dusty clay? I'm happy to share tips once I know how I can help :)

It's a good looking part, and does the job well. Not sure I'd want all that weight so far out on the chassis. You are going to saddle to avoid having a full size stick all the way across the back. The aluminum outside negates that...

Short wheelbase, bit of lead near the back, big wing. Should be good.

And if you are who I think you are, I can give you some tips next Saturday.

Chaz,
I was aware I was, in part, negating the effect of saddle-packing the chassis, so I hollowed-out the parts - they're rather light

Bruno, I think I am who you think I am :)
So, thanks for the offer

That is a very cool part. I have the ribbs under my saddle lipos dremmel'd all the way down flat with the chassis and have had no issues. I have run with and without the gearcase to lipo brace too. It also allowed me to run Vampire 4400 lipos and clamp the lipo brace all the way down without spacers.
