are these motors any good?

My son managed to wreck a good motor today, so I'm thinking of buying one of these as its a cheap repair. But only if its any good.

Has anyone any experience of them?

thanks

I had one in a GT12 for a while. Not the fastest motor but worked a treat.

Thanks for your reply.

How would i know if it were BRCA legal or not?

It will be going in a SC truck, perhaps i need a smaller wind, he had a 10.5 in it until today, but i had turned down the throttle setting.

maybe this would be better http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html

I've been running one of these (7.5t) in a 2wd buggy for over a year with no issues, and no problem with speed either compared to the HPI & Dynamite motors (7.5t) in my other 2wd's. I also ran a 5.5t one in my 12th pan car.

From my own experience I'd recommend them.

I don't believe they're currently BRCA legal.

These are great motors - I have 3 of them in all my buggies (all 7.5t ) and they are just as quick as the more expensive ones they replaced

If it's going in a short course truck then you don't need to worry about brca legal as there is no requirement for trucks

I'd stick with the 10.5 and just turn down his epa as a 13.5 is very slow and you'd end up having to replace it later on when his driving improves
