Rc10 b6 vs xray xb2 17

Does anyone have any experience of running both these two specific cars that they would like to share? Specifically how they both drive compared to each other. Many thanks.

Hello,

Yes I have had both cars. The build quality of the XB2 is superior. The XB2 was always lacking in steering on high grip astro. The B6 feels easier to drive with so much more steering even in kit setup. I spent a lot of time trying to improve my XB2 but never felt satisfied.

Got both cars and race on carpet mainly. Quality wise the xb2 is better but as already stated, it lacks steering. I tried and tried to improve the car but I never got it right. I then bought a b6 and out of the box it was better. I like my X-ray and really wanted to get it going how I wanted But it just understeered. Get a b6, it's a great car.

B6

B6 all the way.

A load of guys on our high grip astro track all rushed out to get xb2's when it first came out.

Within 6 months they all had sold and bought b6's, Yz2's, or the new KC.

I've had both cars and they are both good. It depneds what kind of surfaces you are racing on. For high grip I would definitely say the B6 is a better car.

I had the XB2 carpet and Dirt edition but for me the dirt car was far too lazy and slow (seems to be the general thing with modern dirt cars). I found the carpet car worked very well in low to medium grip conditions but got slower on higher grip surfaces.

I wouldn't say there's much in the build quality. The B6 is a very tough car but maybe the XB2 is a bit over engineered in comparison. Thinking about it I actually broke more on my XB2 than my B6. One thing I don't miss about the XB2 is the terrible gear diff that constantly leaked. You really do need to check that every single meeting....even mid meeting if you've done a bit of practice. It's well worth replacing the diff cap and gasket frequently as it seems to warp.

Both are good cars and I'm sure you'll be happy with either
