I would like to get this thread started, here is a jpeg of the box stock setup. This is a low res scan. I also scanned in a blank setup sheet for those who would like it. Maybe it will help get some setups out... who knows.
Link to blank setup sheet.

Sorry guys but I dont have a set up for you yet but I would like to say I had a good day at Bury Metro yesterday. I won. Qualified second behind Danny Mcgoo and I thought that was good. I did stuggle from the wet as it was pretty much the same as everybody elses( crap ). When it started to get a bit dryer then I started to worry. I then got the B4 manual out and started to change a few things. I do think the shock towers from Atomic are a must and also some weight in the front. The car held up very well and I still think it needs work. I feel the pistons are still wrong but thats for testing. I am geting a race report together for Jimmy so you will all have to wait for it.

Atomic Carbon shock towers?

Hello,

could anyone give me a link or an url where I can buy the Atomic Carbon shock towers for the RB5?

Thak you very much,

Chris

they aren't officially produced yet, but Jonathan has a template to make them as an adhoc item. If there is enough interest in them he will hopefully "mass" produce them as a stock item so they will be slightly cheaper.

Below is a link to my RB5 setup from todays 2007 Qld (Australia) Championships.

Finished 3rd - and very happy with the car.

You need to download an editable blank set-up sheet. I have made a few for different cars on my website, but the one I used for the RB5 Ultima was made by Alexander Mach - which he graciously allowed me to host on my site.

You can download it here: http://web.aanet.com.au/fir/bender/M..._blank_rb5.pdf

You can then fill it out and print it - or store it as a PDF file if you have a virtual PDF postscript printer.

To do that you need to install Ghostscript from this link:
http://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirror...3/gs853w32.exe

and then the free PDF Fill tools from this link:

4 mm under the rear inner ballstud, surely that is almost falling out ?

RogerM 04-03-2008 08:48 PM

The stock ball stud has 10mm of thread, as do the Yokomo parts I have replaced them with (as they have a 2mm hex to aid quick changes). That means there is 6mm still in the mounting boss, which is fine.

erkan 05-03-2008 07:31 PM

roger put up a picture of those yokomo thingies =)
changing the inner ballstuds for rear upper arms are :mad:

RogerM 05-03-2008 08:37 PM

The part numbers you are looking for are

ZC-206MH 6mm thread
ZC-206LH 10mm thread

You will need to use US sized ball cups ...... I have the Losi whites on my car

I am shocking with a camera ..... trust me you will only be more confused if I post one of my calassic fuzzy thumb pictures!!!!!!

erkan 05-03-2008 08:46 PM

i got some black rpm 4-40 cups laying around :D
are those kind of ball studs with a hex in the top of the ball?

RogerM 06-03-2008 07:09 AM

Yes mate ......... only reason for fitting them as the K' ball studs are good other than that point
