Will be there with the X2C, needs a bit of work to get it spot on, but it's good enough to race now. Let's hope for good weather!

Mikey you have a pm

mikeyscott 24-10-2011 03:46 PM

Hi,

Regarding the winter series, it will be the same format re timing as Summer Series I expect. So essentially people arriving trackside from circa 7am onwards. We generally get the club timing stuf setup between 07:30 - 08:00 and once Martin has checked the track it's open for practice. Booking in aims to close at circa 09:00 with racing starting at 09:30. Between 09:00 and 09:30 we sort any issues and have drivers briefing.

Any question, please ask on here on email info@torchracing.org.uk

Martin will probably be requesting people to park away from the track and then pit under you gazebo/tents etc. trackside.

I'll let Martin 100% confirm this.

Mike

Are you planning on putting in extra jumps:thumbsup::thumbsup: which are at the moment next to the race control?.

DragonRider 24-10-2011 06:19 PM

Not too many jumps please as some of us are just starting to learn how to drive again after a large time away.

All up for this as really enjoyed my first outing at torch 2 weeks ago.

Time can not move fast enough.

jamiekerr14 24-10-2011 06:22 PM

Jumps and new features will bring more people down. And not be you *Average* track. It will become-can you remember ... ect.

The track is always great, and after speaking to a few on sunday. It sounds like there are some good ideas that could be done for sunday. Which will be great! and I can see TORCH becoming even more of a top caliber track IMHO.

martin so16 24-10-2011 06:30 PM

o yes more jumps was what every one wants at torch so this is what we will do we have three new jumps to go in and thats why we have to do a new track lay out plus i havent changed it for months

mikeyscott 24-10-2011 06:49 PM

We always try to strike the balance so that all can enjoy it. I have been to a few tracks were only the pros can drive it....

MrMagoo 24-10-2011 07:17 PM

Martin and the TORCH crew do a great job, the track now is so much better than it was and just keeps improving. The jumps are all do-able, if you aren't sure just slow down and roll them, there's nothing 'do-or-die' on the track, no tricky doubles etc. Hats of to the guys, I'm stunned by what's happened at the club since I first turned up 12 months back.

almo1985 24-10-2011 07:24 PM

Will be there in 2wd, been a few weeks since I got down to torch and have been missing it. Am looking forward to a new layout to get my teeth into.

Roll on Sunday!

Belive me when I say I have no dis-respect for the TORCH Crew. My son and myself were made very welcome 2 weeks ago when we went to try out off-road buggies. For me a proper attempt at Off-Roading since the mid '90s.

At the end of the day I and my son will race the track what ever obsticle is in the way.

Even though TORCH is nearly an hour and a half away I'm hoping to join and TORCH to be our local club. (If they will have us of course).

Sorry if it sounded like I was whining (I am not a touring car driver...LOL)

See you all on Sunday.

Mark
