The Big Tyre Question

I am new to 1/12 and will be racing at Sharley Park in Chesterfield

I am wondering what is good amount tryes and colours to get?

I am thinking of getting

Jaco Fronts
3 pairs double pink
3 pairs magenta

Jaco Rears
3 pairs pink
3 pairs magenta

Any Help is appriciated

Thanks

If you're new to 12th you might want to stick to pink rears, magentas are much harder to drive. Start the day on the double pink fronts and go to the magenta fronts when the grip comes up.

yellow or whites are good choices to go for as well for the rear i find if you just want to experiment with grip levels while going into corners.

DO NOT use yellows or whites at Sharley Park. Yellows will wear nearly 1mm per run, whites even more.

If you're using Jacos, double pink front and pink rear will be a good starting point. Your tyre choice in general is good, though I'd personally go for CRC tyres :)

Yep, that'll do you to start with.

See you there.

Yellows seem to work at Ardent, but definitely not at Chesterfield. I don't remember the last time I saw anyone use whites - they just lock the back in and kill the rotation you need for high corner speed.

Like Trev, I think your tyre box is spot on for Chesterfield, indeed for almost anywhere! :)
