Whens the B6.1/B7 out then?

I guess we will see an updated version of the B6 or B7 buggy out soon, as they have now run out of stock of the B6 on rc10.com, and they have discounted both buggies to $249, which equates to £186 there abouts...

Does anyone know?

Bargain at that price especially if you can convert to the new one

B6.1

I'd be very surprised if they were this quick with a new car.

How long has the B6 been out? A year?

I got mine the day they arrived from cml to mb and that was approx 18 months ago . Would imagine if we are going to see an updated model it won’t be until later in the year at least .

I would have thought a new truck would be brought out before another 2wd buggy ?

Could just be competitive pricing from US stores and low stock levels:confused:

By the time you add shipping cost, VAT at 20% and the customs handling fee, it comes to over £250, which certainly isn't enough of a saving to warrant buying from abroad.

I really do hope AE don't go down the 'update model every year' road...

Been working in retail and wholesale distribution for 20+ years.

Have to say, just on my experience, no AE-inside knowledge to confirm my suspicions, I'd say there is def something new coming.

The discount is very large, meaning they want to move stock (clear warehouse) very quickly.

Given that every new car kills the sales of the old car, they don't want to have stock of a car that won't sell. Who'd buy a new B6 if there was a B7 coming, unless it was heavily discounted?

And if I was trying to clear stock out the warehouse, just to make room for more B6 stock, I wouldn't hurt the retail price by nearly 50% - how would I get people to buy the new stock at the old RRP price ($460).

That signals to me, that they are keen to empty the current stock and at a price that won't hurt sales of a new car, just the old car.

There was talk on B6 group on FB of an updated version with X-ray style diff access...IE 4 screws not 20! And apparently new rear arms, Cavalieri ran them at a recent event. Total hearsay as usual, but would be a good update. They did also say they thought the box would be backwards compatible, IE, fit the current B6 chassis.

Next big race is the reedy race in a few weeks so would be a good opportunity to announce a new car.
