Not so good quality though...sorry about that  |
That has to be THE single neatest Novak GTB installation ever!
Fantastic :) |
Thanks!
It took me a while to figure out, but i like fiddeling with that kind of stuff:D |
Yeah, that is a great job, I was fiddling around with new motors and the novak came up, really hard to put together neatly, awesome.

My New D4 sorted and ready to Race Not quite as I would like it But Funds don't allow for the Brushless I want in there at the moment & the Lipo is not here yet , But I am sure it will be fine for a couple of meetings with the Old Keyence and 13x3 Checkpoint !!!
Funny how camera angles make things look out ( looks like it has + camber on the rear But it has not ! Nor does it have toe out But it looks like it does ) http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...CIMG0231-1.jpg http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...CIMG0232-1.jpg |
Here are my two. Both now with new owners sadly. Brilliant cars and an absolute breeze to set up.

Dremel id say
|
i think you maybe right they are a little wonky
|
I thought Dremmel made tools, or sponsored them :woot: sorry Mark...
|
The top decks are dremel made. Now a frame is a little flexible and it approves mechanical grip.

where were the thumb screws from, and how come you use the older slipper? |
the thumbscrews are HP86969 - Thumbscrew M3x9x7mm (2Pcs) E-Firestorm
you'll need 2 packs and some longish set screws aprox m3x14 either that or use some long m3 screws and cut the heads off. |

Here's mine also! D4 WCE ready for the 2009 local Championship. Unfortunately we don't have many races often over here...
|
That JConcepts shell looks fantastic. Looking at these cars is making me miss my old ones badly. Might have to re-invest for the summer!!:D

A 4.0 in your D4. Is this a speed freak chariot for some crazy speed running? |
HAha!!! The car is really fast indeed, but I use 5cells if you can clearly see. This is a very nice electronic setup, lightweight and fast!!!
I'm very satisfied with the car, raced the whole 2008 Championship without any mechanical issues at all and got the 2nd position overall for the Greek Championship. In 2007 I raced a CAT 2000 through out the year and the last race with the D4. I was 1st overall for 2007! The CAT was also a very nice car and had it since 1996! Let's see what will I succeed for 2009! As I've mentioned in the past, I hope that someday I can come and race in England together with you guys. I really like your electric off road style!!! |
Didn't spot the 5 cells.
The antenna tube kinda 'hides' it. |

D4 Front shock tower
hey fellow d4ers
Ive have created a new D4 front shock tower to eliminate the gear box tops breaking and not had a single breakage as of yet.The protype has been tested for the past three months which you can see on my car in an earlier post on page 1 of this thread (discostu) I now have the final product as you can see it has the outer hole removed on the shock as it seems to be very rarly used and also it has two holes under the mounting points this is for the anti role bar as to make this fit you will need to remove roll bar mount from the gearbox and also you will need to remove the fixing point from the front bumper and drill two holes in line with the lower gear box mounting holes in the bumper. These will be for sale by the mid april as im waiting on the mounting parts. The kit will include 1x Front shock tower 4x Mid fixing screws 4x Mid fixing spacer 2x Role bar screws and nuts 2x Bumper screws 2x Lower fixing screws The kit price will be £20 plus postage stu |
