Can someone explain to me the difference from Blinky to pro stock to modified

I am just starting out, bought all the kit, couple 2nd hand cars

i am confused to what all the differences are ??

Basically speed.

At nationals, Blinky is 17.5 motors with the ESC in Blinky mode which has fixed timing.

Pro Stock is 13.5 motors with any ESC, so timing advance is allowed.

Modified is open motor and ESC, usually a 4.5 turn motor is used.

What really matters is what class is run at the track you will be racing at, almost no clubs race modified, most run Blinky but not always with a 17.5 motor.
