Help motor combo for s104

Hi all,

I'm new to the electric rc and I'm after a basic but good electric motor set up, I don't want to spend a fortune I'm just after something that's reliable and enough speed to race at a local club like bury or Laylands (indoor) ..

Many thanks

In that case I would look after an Hobbywing v2.1 (or even an Xcar esc from Hobbyking, which is in fact a v2.1 clone) and an 7.5 or 8.5motor...
You can spend anything between 25euros and 100euros on a motor. The cheaper ones perform almost as well, but won't have the same life expectancy in the end.

I agree, V2.1 hobbywing or equivalent copy(there are loads, Bullistorm and Tyranosaurus to name just a couple). Can be had for about 35 quid on Ebay, and nearly any motor from 10.5 down to 7.5 for indoors. Try starting with a 22t pinion and change to suit track.
