Schumacher have announced their new 'Cougar SVR' rear-motor 2WD buggy. Sharing a lot in common with the mid-motor Cougar SV, the new car introduces a host of new features aside from the obvious motor layout differences.


The NEW Cougar SVR is a professional, high performance 2WD racing buggy designed especially for dirt and low traction surfaces. Developed from the highly successful Cougar range of cars which have won countless races worldwide.

The SVR incorporates an all new transmission with a rearward motor location and optimised weight distribution for maximum traction.

Interesting! I don't really like the body's cab, I really like the rest of it! :thumbsup: Though I have a TRF201 I'll keep using for a while and I quite like it, this is yet another car to choose from when the time comes to replace it! It is nice to see the 2WD competition heating up in the last few years! I predict this increasing diversity will keep me even further away from 4WDs than before :lol:

I know that this is designed for low grip tracks but I wondered how well it will go on the high grip tracks. mid motor is the favored choice these days i know but I had a quick go of my mates b4.1 worlds car on carpet and it was really good. Makes me wonder if there is any kind of future for rear motored cars here in the uk. Either way I like the look of that.

I still think rear motor can be competitive here in the UK.

My x6 is great, but my b4 was a lot more exciting to drive

Just seen this very car take 4th in the second leg of today's national A final! Looked brilliant on the wet muddy grass. Pretty bloody impressive.
