November stats

I'm happy to say November has been the busiest month so far here, with over 44,000 visits to the website and 67 gigabyte of bandwidth.

A year ago, in december 2005, there were 17,000 visits and 21 gigabytes of data transfer. So things are certainly growing slowly but surely.

So far the server seems to be handling it but I may need to go to a dedicated server in the future - I'm not sure ?
Anyway thanks to everyone that has helped in any way.:p

cool, that is quite alot of bandwidth usage Jim:o Must be all the piccies. I put the modelshop I used to work at on siteground hosting. Its cheaper than chips. $4.95 per month, with
40,000 MB Web Space
900 GB Monthly Bandwidth
24/7 Friendly Tech Support

Fulle features here

Plus you dont have to worry about managing the server e.t.c

The one I use now is shared hosting (like that) with 5gig of space and "unlimited" bandwidth. I have a 2 year contract with them now so I'd probably only move it to a dedicated server rather than jump to another shared hoster.
I did jump ship from Hostrocket (which I use now) but I was shocked by how bad the service / hosting was at the new place and cancelled.

BenG 30-11-2006 03:26 PM

oh dear, I am using Wallaby Hosting at the minute, of a mate and its ACE. I have used Supanmes before, but they are pricey, and oscommerce, IPB, Zen cart, e..tc never worked on them:mad:

So I moved, and its ace;)

Chris Doughty 30-11-2006 03:45 PM

I am on the hostrocket bandwagon now and its really good. (so far)

you beat me by a mile on bandwidth Jimmy! I am only turning over ~12GB a month.

not checked my stats recently, but they are always up month on month.

my first month was something like 200 visitors and <500MB bandwidth :p

jimmy 30-11-2006 03:49 PM

Yeah I remember those days, when breaking a couple of gig a month felt like an acheivement!!!! I had to jump ship from my old host in an emergency last year when I had a limit of 6gig a month and it suddenly started taking off.

on a side note, the new Xmas graphic at the top is ace!! best christmas themed graphic on a website I have seen.

jimmy 30-11-2006 04:06 PM

Haha, cheers chris. A very nice blokie called Jason Moller showed me how to do "php includes" which have really made doing changes like this a lot easier.

so the review links at the end of all my reviews also are now one file to update and it is shown on all the pages at the end of the reviews.. its so much easier than what I have been doing, manually updating everything..

you can see the review links at the bottom of here

they look ace! and it must save a lot of time like that too.

I crown you god of digital imaging Jimmy!

jimmy 30-11-2006 04:18 PM

:eh?: *insert blush smiley here*
I am eventually wanting to move to a more dynamic way of doing things, with more integration and to make it easier to update / keep track of.

BenG 30-11-2006 04:35 PM

Yeah, I heard that too:D Well, I do like the chrsitmas banner, but I dont celebrate christmas lol. PHP includes should keep ya going till everything goes automated matey;)

December was a busy month - with the neo invitational being the only major update. There were over 30 thousand views each on some photos, like the track photos.

79gigabytes of transfer and almost 60 thousand visits. cool!

k£v!n 03-01-2007 11:51 AM

wow that is a hell of a lot! Nice work mate keep it up!

Kev

OldTimer 03-01-2007 12:54 PM

I did 75 gig just on the Neo video i put up last month :D

jimmy 03-01-2007 02:29 PM

haha, a reminder not to host videos ! lol. the photo of the track that was viewed 30,000 times was only 150k or so, imagine if that was a 20meg video or something - it would soon go!

DCM 03-01-2007 04:12 PM

It is expensive to be popular, roflol

Northy 06-01-2007 01:17 AM

I have some pics on 'photobucket', 17 people looked at my pics, i think that is quite good.

jimmy 06-01-2007 01:22 AM
