AMB repair
 

does anyone know where you can get AMB transponders repaired. I have one but the wires are exposed just by the case. I know that i could heat shrink them but ideally it needs new wires on and i didn't want to open it up and break it.

amb are pants for this, they only offer a new one, mrt may be able to repair it, or you need to buy an mrt clone

... but you could also opt to go for a cloned MRT PT : no more worries then.

That was overly complex IMHO.

I just cut it open where you see the wires go in (take little by little), finally you'll see the solder tabs... easy peasy!

Even with this "cut out section" the rest of the transponder is sealed!

Isolate with Serpent cleaning gum. Easy to remove later when replacing wires again...

From wot i remember you can send them to the UK distributor of the AMB systems and he will repair them for a small fee. if i remember its something like 20quid a bug but dont quote me on that.
