Like the shot of London Eye with County Hall in the Background. Stopped there a few weeks back. Awesome Star Wars exhibition on there at the moment.
|
I never got a chance to go to the Star Wars exhibition but somebody wearing a storm trooper outfit did walk past me while I was there.
I love that shot of the bullet and the rose! I dont do photography as a living although it is something I would very much like to do at some point, I have sold a few pictures for various uses and won some photocomps. I've only been really 'into' photography for about a 18 months or so when I purchased my dSLR. http://www.mole2k.co.uk/rand/Shannon..._by_mole2k.jpg http://www.mole2k.co.uk/rand/Snowdrops_by_mole2k.jpg |
Some quality stuff on here, great variety too. Only been taking an interest in photography since November so it'd be a shame to ruin the thread with my toss, but hey... t'internet's rife with that kind of behaviour!

Looking at your selection you seem to have a deft touch when it comes to PP, something I'm a complete buffoon with :( Any pointers (books/sites etc) or is it all hands-on learning? |

My usual workflow would be the following: Import RAW file into Photoshop, Crop, set white balance, knock exposure down to -0.5 or -1, bump shadow contrast and brightness up to expose the image correctly and import into photoshop as a 16bit image. A touch of Unsharp mask (usually 10-20%, 60px radius, 0 threshold) Any colour correction I feel is needed with Hue/Saturation/Lightness (or convert to B&W using Calculations/Chanel Mixer) Smart Sharpen full sized image (usually 150-300%, 0.3px radius, 0 threshold) Save 16bit TIFF. resize down to 800x533 Smart Sharpen to make up for the loss in sharpness from the resize (usually 100%, 0.3, 0) convert to 8bit, convert to sRGB save as jpeg qual 8~9 Sorry if its a bit sprawling but I dont have a set work flow and some images go through a lot more processing depending on the subject, The London Eye shot had some perspective correction work to stop the building and the Eye look like its 'leaning back' (converging verticles) |
some nice shots there guys, keep em coming!
