If you go for a Novak ballistic then you can buy individual stators to change it to another wind. A cheaper way to have a variety of motors. They are also a good motor.

Everyone is going to suggest the motors that they use, I honestly don't think it makes too much difference what motor you use. I use LRP in the buggy and GM in the tourer and I would say I prefer the GM stuff.

But seen as you are using a SP speedo, why not just get the matching motor? They are cheaper than novak and who really wants to faff changing stators? If you want another motor put the money you saved by not buying the novak towards that. Everyone likes matching gear! Get the SP v3.

I run a SP 10.5 V3 with a LPF in my cat and it works really well indoors. sure I get a few feet of lead taken out of me down the straight, but at the end of the race through the twisties I'm in the lead.

At the other club I race at regularly on polished floor it's only at the very end of the straight anyone with a faster motor is actually moving faster than me since it's all wheelspin most of the lap. the 10.5 makes the car very controllable leaving me to decide where to point it and what lines to take through the corners.
