I used to love that track! :D

It used to be my local track, went there for years untill it folded. Was such a shame as it was an awesome track. Used to cost a fortune in soft tyres!!!

Wow, great photo's showing some great times. Some young faces there :-)
Schum bouncy castle, brilliant. And the unforgettable Phil Davies. Thanks for sharing James. |
Looks like it was at Apperley Bridge, with calverley woods in the background. Was it near the private school sports grounds? I used to live in Calverley, but around this was in North Wales.
Looks a great track and meeting setup. Wish it was there now, just down the road from me. When did it close? I've lived in the area since 2000, and don't recall ever seeing it. I'd have started racing again sooner if I had have seen it. |

I can still remember the smell of the track, they mixed some sort of oil in, just imagine doing that next to a river now days:o |
The good old days
Is that Adam Clark in the red top and Curley hair?? lol
I remember going to the aire valley 8 hour endurance race and it rained that much we have to race on the car park next to the track instead. |
Old mates
The lads looking at the car sure it could be the dave or bob Adrian went to the euros in ulm with them lads John too happy days:)

Yes it was right next to the private school sports field. I think we stopped racing there about 96 or 97 when the numbers dropped right off. A shame really as it was an awesome track!!!!
