Nice!

I once cut and shortend an academy STR-4 tourer into a mini buggy. I ran it with a mini-inferno body on top.
Which body are you going for?

jayst 16-11-2011 10:40 PM

Moter Mount? You're using a 380 or 360 sized moter, isn't it?
So which moter mount is in the bag, and on the car?

Thomas P 20-11-2011 12:16 PM

Yea, a Novak Three-80 or a Castle CM26

it is the stock mount on the car, the other is almost the same, but with a better spur/pulley holder.

about lid, not sure yet.

mr. ed 20-11-2011 05:51 PM

I'm a little confused: I'm not very much at home in Tamiya.
(It is using Tamiya touring car parts for the transmission , right?)

So how do you fit the 360 sized moter on a 540 sized moter mount???

Geardiff installed, new motormount with quickchange gear

Some drilling and cuting

Ordered All Schumi parts,HPI and will get the Kyosho parts Monday i hope...if im lucky the belts will arrive mid this week, ordered some new bigger center pulleys to.

Have done som small mochup mount with the Xray M18T crank, lloks good..see wich one il use, i cross my fingers that the arms will fit in between the mounts..

Thomas P 28-11-2011 08:45 PM

Schumacher CAT SX arms fitted..Next, to get the HPI rear hub and Lazer front end..then it is measuring again, dremel, sanding the arms, to get the width good, next tricky par is to extend all CVDs...

Looking ace Thomas ,as per normal!
I like the look of your two1/16ths:)

Thomas P 30-11-2011 08:01 PM

Thank you Rebel, do my best =)

Belt arrived today , Jiiiippie :D

Just compared the Stock Tamiya arm, with my cut Schumi...

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...4/94409346.jpg

No doubt, that il go for the Tamiya one, so much easier and less sandning, dremling

Would be awesome, i think it is to long, but that would be real cool :)

UPDATE

Ok, so there was no time today for any practice, so i took the chance to do some work on the Timing car :rawk:

And, i must say, i do believe more and more on this car, just waiting for the new front belt from Schumi UK

Using the Kyosho Lazer 4wd plastic inserts for the arm-axles reduced the sloppy a lot..
