B44 front driveshafts

Is there a trick to taking the pins out of the front ? Or is it just a case of hit them out with a punch ?

spud31 30-01-2012 03:30 PM

as in the ones that hold the cvd together?
Normally once the grub screw undone they fall out, if someone has used some mega threadlock a few mins on a hot plate should do the trick

sorry no, the pin that's through the front hex (outside the hub)

omg shouldnt be that tight mate, normally just push out with a small allen driver maybe someone has used glue before

They can be really tight. I use an old 1/16 driver to knock them out and then pull them with pliars. Just be careful you dont slip while doing it. I am sure there is a proper way involving a punch, hammer, anvil and huge bearded blacksmith.
