If only racing indoors I wouldn't bother I got one on mine but I do race outdoors in summer, to stop it coming off I actually used the post screws and went through the tray to hold it, as for skins...

Firstly yes it's worth doing as makes the front end more consistent and secondly yes it's easy to do and they fit straight in, all you do is take the rubber grommets out of the front suspension beam...
