As above.......the hex fitting is a conversion that fits over the original pin fitting....in your case, you have one of each.
Although pin fit wheels are still available, most wheels are now 12mm...

I have a Dx4s that is DSMR but backwards compatible to Dsm2... So, it will work with the later sr3520 micro recvr but NOT with sr3500 which is DSM.
