No just put it straight on, its not actually all the way the edge if the tower. Just a few mm above the top wing mount hole. I will try and upload a pic. It did it first night I used it and it hasn't...

The top layer of carbon has split on mine on the off side down the run of holes were wing mounts go. But other than that so far its been great

Got and fitted mine today, was a bit dubious...

Got and fitted mine today, was a bit dubious about buying one but product is great fits great and should do the job nicely :thumbsup:
