To offer another spin on the rear motor thing.. anyone think a rear motor could ever be made faster than a mid motor on high grip. Bearing in mind the new Porsche 911 gt2 has just set a ridiculous record time around the famous German track...ahem,, in front of the Ferraris and McLaren's with its engine at the back. I know it's a totally different kettle of fish but principally it's a car with the heavy bit in the wrong place and it raised a question in my mind. Could a rear motor car be made competitive and if so...how.
Obviously there will be people shouting no way but it's all for fun.
