Any weaknesses to the 3000? My 2000 seems almost bullet proof. The suspension arms are pretty darn solid. I will be getting this car sorted out soon also.

As for durability, I think the CAT 2000 and 3000 are leapyears ahead of anything to date.! THe only real issue I have with mine are the wheel bearings. First, I would REALLY strongly recommened a crush tube between the bearings to keep the inner races from becoming crushed fromthe press on hexes. Second get rid of the 14 mm hex, and use part # u1886 which is 12mm wide hex, then use modern Kyosho SP rear wheel and Kyosho 4 wd front rim. It works great.
I dont like the car with full time 4wd, also dont like the sway bar.
My Cat 2000 is sort of a "Works" car:
Alloy front and rear lower trans
Slipper shaft w/ alloy oneway
Alloy shock bottoms
Steering mod
Bump steer mod
Upright towers CF Fiberlyte
CF upper and lower deck
B44 post and batt straps
Ceramic diff balls
ceramic bearings
Bladed diffs
steel driveshafts front and rear
5* yokes
Kyosho front and rear SP wheels
U1886 hexes
Ti turnbuckles
Ti ballstuds
Aluminum nuts
