This is a tread for Norwegian vintage discussions!
Builds, restorations, news, races/meets!
Who will host retro meets in Norway this year?
I know there will be a race together with the Nats in Innherred - who's entering the vintage class?
Here are some useful links if you're new to vintage:
www.tamiyaclub.com - especially the showrooms of the members are cool
www.blackholesun.fr - fantastic site for vintage Tamiya, where you can learn a lot about Tamiya and the history of it's RC cars
www.tamiya101.com - a site dedicated for the first 100 Tamiya RC car models
www.ymr.no/historie.htm - my own Model Car History web page, in Norwegian language (more retro links on the bottom of that page)
www.tamiyabase.com - Mr. Tamiya Norway - Lars Butveit's own web page

Re-Releases
In case you didn't know it, Tamiya has so called "re-released" a lot of it's 10-30 year old RC models. And at a very low price too! And most of them are 99% authentic, with the same bad/fun handling as they had back in the day!
Excellent for those wanting to buy a childhood memory, or just an olden goldie out of pure interest! For instance the Sand Scorcher NIB (New In Box) would set you back 10.000 NOK more or less! Now you can get a re-release for ca. NOK 1600!!! That's gold!!!
