I haven't tryed it, but thought if you seal both ends, then fit a tyre valve you could fill them with air... Then deflate them for storage. The hose would want to stay straight if you pumped it up loads, but with just a bit of air in you may be able to get the hose to curve and still be "plump". Just an idea...
