as long as its smooth it should be fine if i were you run it to do testing then put new rings and shaft as for qaulity control you should have paid less and built it your self im assuming you bought the pre built.

i bought the original sx pre built and you are spot on the build quality that comes out the factory is rubbish luckly i had enough time before my next race meeting to rebuild it. i will always buy in kit form my sx3 build qulity was excelent the shock o rings are not great but for a quick fix if you are waiting for good rings is the plastic guide that sits in the srew cap if you turn it round so the rib is on the inside rather than the outside it tightens up the outside o ring for a temp fix it works well alternative you could put some shims between the orings.
