Noooooo!!!
Better to leave it as it is than do that. Clean it with motor cleaner and a cloth to see how much of the dirt you can remove. Try it again and see if it is better. Next step is to replace the brushes and see if that perks it up. If neither works then you must true the comm on a lathe and fit new brushes. HTH
