I have a 3.0 laydown car and one of the previous owners has drilled a hole in the front of the wishbone. You will also need to space the top shock mounts forward a bit.
Might be easier just buying some 4.0 wishbones as these already have the holes both front and back.
Moving the shocks forward will move the weight forward towards the centre of the car. This will provide slightly less rear grip.
