T27s are NOT a good tyre. They are from the stone age of RC touring and anyone that was trying to get them to work well would be doing all sorts of tricks with inserts and superglue, and they would still wear out.

Sorex 28JB is a brilliant tyre for carpet. Club or big race, they haven't let me down in about three seasons of using them. I still have my original set from 2010 and they are still good for club even after loads and loads and loads of runs. On carpet, this tyre almost never wears out!
