Thanks guys, this was a problem all of my own making.
I'd test-fitted the slipper to the lower housing (the bits that attach to the chassis) and was getting rubbing of the slipper against the housing. As soon as I fitted the spur cover, this forced the lower housing into the correct position. Hey presto, no more rubbing.
