The way it puts the power down is one of the most positive features of the RB5 so I am unsure why your having a problem. Going from gas to electric (as I have recently) does force you to think hard about your throttle control, especially in 2wd.
The advice about tires above is a good point .... tires are about 85-90% of a good set-up!
