Greetings lads. Good to see an Aussie thread happening.

Some good stories came back from the Worlds That sort of behaviour tends to be pretty standard.

Off road is definitely on the rise here, both 1/8th gas and 1/10th electric. All our tracks tend to be outdoor dirt. Our climate usually dictates that tracks are dry and hence usually quite slippery. This can lead track crews to get creative with dirt additives.

At our Nationals at Easter an additive called 'dustex' was used, which turned section of the track virtually into concrete! This resulted in the tyres (controlled - Proline Holeshots) being destroyed in about 7 or 8 laps. In addition, the tyres were overheating, not to mention foams bunching due to the bulk traction.

The main racing action tends to be East Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Some very fast racers coming out of Aus too now as more guys travel OS and get big race experience. Josh Pain's three-wheel Cactus B-main finish last year was a highlight

Cheers,
Scotty P.
