Jorn Neumann took the 2WD title on the opening day of Maritime Raceway's 'Off Road Wars' event.
The meeting was running to Fastest Time qualifying format and the track was getting faster during the day as the temperatures rose.
Lee Martin took the opening two rounds of qualifying before Jorn Neumann showed the pace he's become known for and set a new fastest time to take round three. Tom Cockerill took the fourth and final round but couldn't quite eclipse the time set by Jorn.
The finals were a real battle - the tight track meant clean overtaking was difficult. Tom Cockerill took the opening leg before Jorn fought back to win legs two and three for the overall victory.
Tom Cockerill finished second overall and Lee Martin third.
