Hey Stuart - I remember you too! I used to come along with Frank Gallacher - not sure what happened to him. He had a way better mullet than me, and he drove a Ford XR2 like a total nutter - it was always touch and go whether I'd get to the club alive
I didn't get any photos, but I've bumped into Jimmy Hamilton at the Dumfries club. I'll need to see if he has any to show me.
It's funny because I've just been reviving my old Cat XLS that I used to run back in the late 80s (using too many re-issue Schumacher parts!). I've kept the original bodyshell which still has "Kenmure Model Co" stickers on it. I had forgotten about Aldo - another name from the past!
I'll need to check out the Glasgow club too. I've been racing at Dunfirmline for a season and a half now, and really enjoying it, but it's a hell of a hike from Helensburgh....
