The R doesn't come with alloy shock towers anymore, they are plastic.
There are loads of small differences, some just cosmetic.
The small bore shocks and plastic hinge pin holders of the R are probably the most significant.
0 and 1deg hubs are also included with the V3.
Different (Khuler) body shell with more room for electrics is also worth a mention.
If you have the choice I would certainly recommend spending the extra (around £45 right now) to get the full V3.
