not too sure if it will affect the paint, but i suspect you may be disappointed with the results, i dont think you will get very clear/consistent lines. I struggle enough getting my pens to work on the outside when sketching my designs.
But you can never go wrong with testing your ideas first. any scrap bit of lexan/wing/coke bottle.
