No it doesn't, if you have two or more cars, you just start another policy on zero no claims, one car will still have the ncb that you already have.
I went with Admiral three years ago when I got my Focus ST, had that, my 04 Mondeo, and my old tarted up 95 V6 Mondeo, cost not a lot different to do all three cars, then someone else wanted just for the ST, in fact, I think Admiral wanted only £10 more to do the ST with zero ncb, then Ford insure wanted with 10 years ncb!
The 04 Mondeo has all of the ncb, the ST and the V6, I started from scratch, and are/were mileage limited. Still have the ST the 04 Mondeo with Admiral, the V6 went a while ago.
