Isnt this just the old "square layshaft" issue that plagued the forums on the release of the SX3?
If it is this then the two fixes are:
- permanent fix = dab of threadlock onto the layshaft where the centre bearing goes on (essentially threadlocking the bearing onto the layshaft so it cant rock and cause the stickiness you describe)
- more removeable fix but didnt seem to work for everyone = add a washer before the locknut goes on the layshaft. This just nips everything up a little tighter and seems to eliminate it.
