I'm confused by your use of the term "droop screws to set the ride height". Droop screws aren't used to set the ride height they are there to adjust the amount of droop the arms have when the car is off the ground in effect and can be used to adjust the ride in bumpy tracks or the amount of on/off power steering the car has (to be fair I never used to even fit the droop screws when I last ran my buggy)

Looking at your picture of the rear it doesn't look like 28mm to me. Are you measuring from the floor to where the bottom of the chassis is at the back or higher up?
