I think this was an upgrade for the Alpha and 2000 (which was an Alpha) and the shell came with a gear cover as well. I have done a bit of homework on this and for a short period this was available but wasnt in the shops long.

The shell appears not to be an exact perfect fit hence why the slot is where it is so the battery can be replaced without the need of taking the shell off. Weird it is and appears to be no logic behind it either.

Keith at Kamtec said that hopefully the tomcat mold will be finished by Friday. Then he will spend a bit more time on the ZXR shell. It made sense as the tomcat was new and undamaged and the ZXR is a bit so more time is needed to make the mold perfect. Still good news.
