I've attached my set up for outdoor astro to the bottom of this post. This is the base set up I use everywhere, with only a few minor tweaks to dial the car in. I primarily use a ball diff outdoors at the moment, most of the tracks around the mid-west seem to drop in grip enough to warrant it, become sandy and dusty and I feel the ball diff makes the car a lot more forgiving to drive, I'd use a gear diff with 7.5K fluid only when the grip is very high, but this is a personal choice. The added weight also helps the car ride the bumps better, with the switch to 35wt oil in the rear with 1.8mm pistons providing better damping, particularly helping it to jump and land better. Ritchie Thorn tried this set up at Coventry Regional a few weeks back and liked it, with a couple of minor changes to make it more to his liking he took a leg of the A final! Hope this helps!
